Starship Valkyrie Serials

Starship Valkyrie is a live science-fiction crisis simulator, series of roleplaying games, and a science fiction universe, originally created for the live-action game of the same title by Christian Brown in 2010. Starship Valkyrie has run in Southern California almost continuously in different forms, as live public and private events and at conventions, particularly Strategicon at the LAX Hilton. The game and its IP are currently owned and run by long-time players, contributors, writers, and SSV GMs Robert Prag and T.A. Leederman. Robert Prag operates as Mechanics Lead, building out the game rules and advancing its mechanics, while developing new ways for players to enjoy and engage with the Starship Valkyrie world. Its lore, wiki, world story, and all prose fiction are written, developed, and maintained by T.A. Leederman, the original creator of the SSV wiki in 2015.

The Starship Valkyrie stack here at Ghost was created initially to serialize What Remains, Tara's largest project to date, which we felt would benefit from that sort of publication style. Tara began writing What Remains in 2023, and its first bevy of chapters--likely a third of it--have been through vigorous beta reading at this point. She hoped to bring the work to a larger community of people to read and enjoy, and after much searching and even a couple interviews, she decided that Ghost would be the best platform. Portions of other works, such as early chapters or sample chapters of other Starship Valkyrie novels, will likely come here for your enjoyment.
